Entry into the state

With the Tasmanian border restrictions easing on 15th December, we wish to remind our passengers:

⚠️ If you are travelling from mainland Australia to Tasmania, you must adhere to the Tasmanian Government conditions of entry to the state. Access the most up-to-date information at: www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/transition-plan/travel-to-tasmania

⚠️ We also recommend you download and install the Check-In Tas App on your phone prior to arrival to Flinders & King Islands. Refer to the following website for more information: www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/check-in-tas

⚠️ All travellers, including Tasmanian residents, need to register their travel and receive a valid Tas e-Travel QR code prior to entering the state. To register your journey to Tasmania, visit: register.tasetravel.tas.gov.au

  • Border entry conditions are in place for some travellers - ensure you are aware of the conditions that apply to you and have your QR code ready to show upon arrival in Tasmania
  • Different conditions apply to vaccinated and unvaccinated travellers, as well as those who have spent time in a high or extreme-risk area - this may include providing a negative COVID-19 PCR test results or being subject to quarantine upon arrival in Tasmania
  • For information on registering your travel and arrival conditions visit the Tasmanian coronavirus website www.coronavirus.tas.gov.au/comingtotas 
  • You may be delayed at the border if you do not have a valid travel Tas e-Travel QR code on arrival
  • Travellers should be ready to provide evidence of full vaccination and a negative COVID-19 PCR test result (if applicable) at the border
  • It is a requirement that all travellers wear a face mask while on board and in the terminal
  • Penalties apply for travellers who ignore entry requirements

⚠️ Please also note that as of Tuesday 21 December 2021 at 12.01am, masks are required in all indoor venues across the state.

 

Additional seat capacity on Flinders Island-Essendon routes

We are pleased to announce that in anticipation of travellers wishing to travel to the Bass Strait Islands, we have increased seat capacity between Essendon & Flinders Island to meet demand - particularly our Tuesday & Thursday services, from 21 December 2021 to 11 January 2022.
